Northern Pacific Hockey League Commissioner Mark D'Agostino has announced the Defensive and Offensive Players of the Week for week 19. The Defensive Player of the Week is Missoula Maulers goaltender Andy DiCristofaro.

The America West playoff match ups are set starting on Tuesday, February 23rd. The Helena Bighorns will start the playoffs in Billings to play the Bulls. The Bighorns are the number 1 seed in the America West Division and decided to play on the road first because of scheduling conflicts with the Helena Ice Arena.

Northern Pacific Hockey League Commissioner Mark D’Agostino has announced the Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week from week 18. The Offensive Player of the Week is Missoula forward Gary Astalos.

The Helena Bighorns hosted the Bozeman Icedogs at the Helena Ice Arena last Friday night with the Bighorns winning 7-3. Alec Goplen scored the first goal of the game 18 seconds into the first period. Adam Johnson scored the first powerplay goal to tie the game 5:09 into the period.

The Eugene Generals traveled to play the Puget Sound Tomahawks on Thursday for the final time this season. The Generals beat the Tomahawks 5-1. After a scoreless first period, Christian Merritt score the first goal of the game 55 seconds into the period.

The Seattle Totems went to the Lane Event Center-Ice looking to over take the Eugene Generals for first place in the Pacific Division. The Totems had a two point lead for first going into Sunday’s game. The first five and half minutes the Generals and Totems were tied at zero then the Totems scored five goals in the first period.

The Helena Bighorns started their weekend last Thursday hosting the Butte Roughriders and beating them 10-1. Helena scored seven unanswered goals in the first two periods with goals by: Rudy Pino (2), Tom Greene Taylor Laneville (2), Adam Johnson and Nolan Grauer.

Northern Pacific Hockey League Commissioner Mark D’Agostino has announced the Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week for week 16. The Offensive Player of the Week is Seattle Totems captain Chris Beede. The Totems were 3-0 last weekend beating the Puget Sound Tomahawks 10-0 on Thursday.

The Seattle Totems (30-8) travel to Eugene to play the Generals (31-6) for a battle for first place in the Pacific Division on Friday and Saturday. This weekend will be the last time these two teams meet in the regular season.

The America West Division starts week 17 off with the Helena Bighorns (33-4) hosting the Butte Roughriders (3-36). The Bighorns and the Roughriders have played five times this season with the Bighorns winning all five meetings.
